Bella Hadid has officially entered her thirties — and she did it entirely on her own terms. The supermodel turned 30 on 9th October and marked the milestone with a sun-drenched birthday weekend at Blackberry Farm in Tennessee's Great Smoky Mountains, surrounded by a close circle of friends and no shortage of personal style.
Hadid shared a series of photos on Instagram that quickly sent fans into a frenzy, summing up the occasion with the kind of deadpan confidence only she could pull off: "Hi, my name is Bella, and I'm 30."
The Birthday Bikini Everyone's Talking About
The standout look of the celebrations was a custom red string bikini created exclusively for Hadid by Los Angeles-based swimwear brand Baben. The piece was designed with her milestone birthday in mind — featuring a white '30' printed across the top and her name emblazoned across the bottoms, complete with a white star detail on the back.
Hadid layered the swimsuit beneath a red-and-white striped apron dress, pulling it aside in several shots to reveal the two-piece underneath. She finished the Western-inspired ensemble with tan cowboy boots decorated with bold red designs, dark sunglasses, gold jewellery and stacked bracelets — a look that felt equal parts Glastonbury and ranch chic.
"30, flirty and thriving!" wrote one fan in the comments, as the post racked up birthday wishes from followers and brands alike — including a "Hiiii Bella" from the official Victoria's Secret account.
In one particularly cheeky shot, Hadid held the dress up around her waist, giving fans an unobstructed view of the custom bottoms. Another saw her crouching near the water's edge, dress hitched up, channelling the kind of effortless confidence that has defined her career. "30 never looked any better," one commenter declared — and it's difficult to argue.
A Weekend to Remember
The birthday festivities stretched across the whole weekend, with Hadid joined by friends including Fanny Bourdette-Donon, Rachael Ryan Lacy and Yasmine Diba. The group made the most of the Blackberry Farm setting, moulding clay, sipping wine, riding around in a golf cart and taking in the scenic Smoky Mountains surroundings.
Bourdette-Donon offered her own glimpse of the weekend on Instagram Stories, posting a photo of Hadid on a dock with the caption: "Magical place for our magical girl."
The celebrations had actually begun earlier on her birthday itself, 9th October, when Hadid was spotted enjoying a sunny day in the park with friends dressed in a head-to-toe Y2K-inspired outfit — flared jeans adorned with floral vine embroidery and sequined butterfly embellishments, a white crop top, a hot pink knit cardigan and a denim bucket hat. Later that evening, she changed into a sleeveless satin dress with a plunging neckline and a white sequin-embroidered bodice to blow out the candles on her birthday cake.
"This is 30," Hadid wrote alongside a white heart emoji in a subsequent post. "Thank you to all who made me feel so loved... I am in gratitude to God, my loved ones, my loyal and amazing supporters who have stood by me."
Life at 30
The birthday comes at a quietly eventful period in Hadid's personal life. Earlier this year, she and cowboy tycoon Adan Banuelos — the professional equestrian she had been linked to since October 2024, after the pair were spotted on a date in Fort Worth, Texas — are reported to have parted ways. She has since been linked to Colorado project manager Nathan Lacy.
On the professional front, Hadid recently made her acting debut in the FX horror series The Beauty — though viewers were left startled when her character met a dramatic end in an opening scene.
If turning 30 ever looked daunting, Bella Hadid has made a very convincing case that it needn't. The boots, the bikini and the Smoky Mountains backdrop suggest she's stepping into this next chapter with style firmly intact.
