Most brides are fretting over table arrangements and last-minute dress fittings. Paulina Porizkova is packing up her entire Manhattan life — four days before her wedding.

The Landlord Who Couldn't Care Less About the Big Day

The 61-year-old supermodel has revealed that her NYC landlord flatly refused to extend her lease, despite her being a tenant for six years and begging and pleading for more time.

That deadline? Just four days before she's due to marry screenwriter Jeff Greenstein in Italy. The timing couldn't be more brutal.

"We have to move out of here four days before we get married in Italy. Not great."

Starting Over at 61 — and Refusing to Pretend It's Fine

Speaking on their joint podcast Twenty Good Summers, Paulina got refreshingly real about what losing the flat means to her emotionally. It isn't just bricks and mortar — she called it the place where she truly found herself.

"We're starting over completely, both of us," she said. "This apartment has kept me safe, and where I've sort of grown up to be a woman, I feel."

Jeff — best known for his work on Friends and Will & Grace — summed it up perfectly: "This is not how we would have drawn it up."

Silver Linings — But Still a Headache

To their credit, the couple aren't pretending they're without options. Paulina co-owns a country house with her sons Jonathan and Oliver, and Jeff still has a place in LA — though it's currently on the market.

"We cannot complain, but it is an unexpected happenstance," Jeff admitted. Even so, returning from a honeymoon in Italy to no New York base wasn't exactly the plan.

Love, Loss and a Fresh Chapter

Paulina's road to this wedding has been anything but straightforward. After 28 years of marriage to Cars frontman Ric Ocasek, the pair separated in 2018. When Ric passed away in 2019, Paulina faced a deeply painful legal battle over his estate before settling in 2021.

Now, with Jeff — who proposed in July 2025 — she's embracing the chaos with humour, even turning the eviction drama into a podcast episode. If you can laugh about it, you're winning.
