Drake is having himself quite the moment. His latest album Iceman has locked in a second consecutive week at the top of the Billboard 200, and the chart king is showing absolutely zero signs of slowing down — on the charts or on Instagram.

A Record-Breaking Run at the Top

When Iceman debuted at number one last week with a stonking 463,000 equivalent units — the second-biggest album opening of 2026 behind only BTS's Arirang — it cemented Drake's fifteenth US chart-topper, drawing him level with Taylor Swift and surpassing Jay-Z's solo male record. Now, despite a drop of more than 50 per cent in consumption, the album has held firm with 225,000 units in its second week, comfortably outpacing everything else on the chart. Only six of Drake's fifteen number one albums have ever managed a multi-week stay at the top, making this achievement rarer than it might appear for such a prolific hitmaker.

Making History With a Hat-Trick

If that weren't enough, Drake recently became the first musician in history to simultaneously occupy the top three spots on the Billboard 200, with Iceman, Habibti and Maid of Honour all charting at numbers one, two and three in their debut week. Whilst Habibti and Maid of Honour have since slipped to seventh and eighth respectively, the triple-chart domination remains one of the most remarkable feats in modern music history. The only act ahead of Drake and Swift on the all-time list is the Beatles, who boast 19 number ones and show no signs of being caught anytime soon.

F1 Royalty Gets Involved

The Iceman name carries some serious motorsport heritage — it was, of course, the legendary nickname of Finnish Formula One champion Kimi Räikkönen. To mark the album's release, artist and designer Spinz recreated the iconic full-scale ice sculpture of Räikkönen's McLaren MP4-21 — originally unveiled at the 2006 Monaco Grand Prix — using the original car CAD files, before delivering it to Drake's home on release day. Drake duly shared photographs of himself posing beside the stunning sculpture on Instagram, sending F1 fans into a frenzy. Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton was among those to react.

Meanwhile, the Petty Games Continue

Chart glory aside, Drake has apparently found time for a bit of social media mischief. The rapper appears to have liked an Instagram post from Gio Ramos, the ex-girlfriend of fellow artist Playboi Carti, who recently went through a very public split with the star. Drake and Carti reportedly fell out during Drake's high-profile beef with Kendrick Lamar in 2024, with Carti notably siding with Lamar. Whether Drake's Instagram activity was calculated or casual, the internet certainly noticed — though given he is currently sitting atop the charts with three albums at once, perhaps he can afford to be a little playful.
