While William is said to be keeping the King at arm's length, Kate has reportedly been making quiet, consistent efforts to maintain their bond — calling Charles several times a week and sending over baked goods so that, as one insider put it, "at least he will still know she cares."
Caught in the Middle
The reported tension between William and Charles is said to have deepened following a private reunion at Highgrove in July, where King Charles and Queen Camilla hosted Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their children Archie and Lilibet.
