Most press tours wind down once a film hits cinemas. Charlize Theron, apparently, didn't get the memo — and frankly, we're grateful for it.

With Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey deep into a record-breaking second week at the global box office, Theron flew to Beijing for a full day of promotional duties alongside leading man Matt Damon, pulling off an impressive three-outfit day that showcased some of the sharpest fashion moments of her entire press tour.

The Lanvin Opening Act

Theron kicked things off in a look from Lanvin's spring 2026 ready-to-wear collection, designed by Peter Copping. The black-and-white ensemble — a billowing halterneck draped blouse paired with coordinated shorts — carried the waterfall and Calypso-inspired motifs that have threaded through her Odyssey press tour styling from the start. A black bow formed at the neckline and cascaded down her back, nodding to the film's mythological themes without tipping into costume territory. She finished the look with black Celine sunglasses and Lanvin T-bar mesh pumps.

It was an easy assumption that Dior would be involved — Theron is a longstanding ambassador for the house, and the reverse-collar silhouette had a passing resemblance to a Jonathan Anderson runway piece. But Lanvin it was, and the fluid proportions suited the warm Beijing setting perfectly.

Givenchy for the Fan Meet-and-Greet

For a fan meet-and-greet later in the day, Theron stepped into the final look to close Givenchy's autumn 2026 ready-to-wear show — a black and silver halter dress designed by creative director Sarah Burton. The piece featured a plunging neckline, black floral motifs outlined in silver across a sheer bodice, and a sculpted skirt with gravity-defying accordion-style panels. She accessorised with Tiffany & Co. jewellery.

It was a bold step up in formality from the morning's look, and Burton's structural instincts gave Theron exactly the kind of silhouette that photographs beautifully on a press line.

Gold Fringe for the Premiere

The evening saved the most spectacular look for last. At the film's premiere at the China National Film Museum in Beijing, Theron arrived in a fringed, shimmering gold dress with a black underlay — its skirt and bodice constructed entirely from wispy strands of metallic gold fringe, designed to move with every step. The top of the dress created a curtain effect, framing a black base bodice beneath. She wore Dana Rebecca Designs earrings and rings by Gabriel & Co.

It was a fitting finale to a day that encapsulated everything Theron has brought to this particular press tour: considered, consistent, and utterly unafraid of a strong statement.

The Film Behind the Fashion

Based on Homer's epic poem, The Odyssey follows Odysseus — played by Damon — on his long and turbulent journey home to Ithaca after the Trojan War, directed by Nolan. The film is currently in cinemas worldwide. Given its box office momentum, there may yet be more press stops to come. On this evidence, Theron's wardrobe is more than ready for them.
