Farm life, sunshine, and a five-year-old splashing about
Gigi Hadid has given fans a glimpse into her summer so far — and it looks rather lovely. The 31-year-old supermodel posted a carousel of photos to Instagram this week under the simple caption "Signs of summer!", and it covered all the bases: a striking string bikini shot, home renovations on her Pennsylvania farm, and plenty of wholesome moments with her five-year-old daughter, Khai.
The opening image shows Hadid in a patterned two-piece, hair twisted into a bun, retro sunglasses in hand, going completely makeup-free as she settled in for an afternoon in the sun. It's the kind of effortlessly glamorous shot that reminds you exactly why she's been one of the world's most in-demand supermodels for the best part of a decade — and yet the rest of the carousel is refreshingly ordinary.
Little Khai features in several frames: splashing around in the pool in one, sitting on a picnic blanket surrounded by toys in another. The farm itself — a sprawling 32-acre property that has been in the Hadid family for years — is clearly getting a refresh, with some ongoing renovation work also making the cut.
Juggling modelling, motherhood, and two homes
Hadid divides her time between the Pennsylvania farm and a Manhattan penthouse, and she's been admirably candid about how she makes that work as a working single mother. When Khai is with her father — former One Direction singer Zayn Malik — Gigi throws herself into her professional commitments.
"I work when my daughter is with her dad, and that's the time I have. The jobs I choose to fill that time with have to be ones that are fulfilling to me. I will literally fit in as many jobs as I can on those days."
She and Malik, who split in 2021, have made co-parenting a clear priority.
Hadid previously told Vogue that the pair arrange custody schedules months in advance and make a point of supporting one another.
"What we are interested in is raising our daughter together — with so much respect for each other, and not just as co-parents, but what we've been through together."
It's a setup that appears to be working well. Hadid has been in a relationship with actor Bradley Cooper for around three years now, and by all accounts, life on the farm suits her. This isn't the first time she's shared a sun-soaked swimwear moment this season either — she recently posted a mirror selfie in a metallic bikini paired with low-rise sweatpants and a striped knitted cardigan, which went down rather well with her followers.
The workout routine behind the physique
Hadid's dedication to her fitness is no secret. She works closely with personal trainer Rob Piela, owner of Gotham Gym in New York, mixing high-intensity interval training and strength work with lower-impact movement. It's a balanced approach that clearly pays off — though the overall impression from this latest batch of photos is less "supermodel at peak performance" and more "woman genuinely enjoying her summer", which, frankly, is all the more appealing for it.
Fans certainly seem to agree. The comments section filled up quickly, with one simply writing "GIGI YOU SO AMAZING!!!" — a sentiment that appeared to be broadly shared. As summer heatwaves go, Hadid appears to be handling this one rather well.
