While David Beckham was busy collecting one of Hollywood's most coveted honours on Friday, his youngest child was quietly attempting something far more personal — and far more heartbreaking.

Hours after cheering on her father at his Hollywood Walk of Fame induction ceremony, 14-year-old Harper Beckham was photographed arriving alone at older brother Brooklyn's $16 million mansion in the exclusive Trousdale Estates area of Beverly Hills. Still wearing the pink satin slip dress and matching cardigan she'd had on all day, Harper made her way to the gates of the property — only to leave moments later, empty-handed and without seeing her brother.

According to a source who spoke to Page Six, neither Brooklyn, 26, nor his wife Nicola Peltz were even home. The couple are believed to have been in Miami at the time.

The Solo Mission Nobody Else Dared to Take

What makes the moment all the more striking is that Harper went alone. Her brothers Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 21, did not accompany her — both have reportedly fallen out with Brooklyn following his public attacks on the family. Harper, it seems, was the only Beckham willing to try to build a bridge on what should have been a joyful family day.

Sources suggest Brooklyn has wanted to shield his little sister from the worst of the fallout, and that the situation between them is described as "very different" to his severed ties with the rest of the family. However, an insider has acknowledged that the "fundamental logistics of his little sister living under the same roof as his parents makes things very hard, contact-wise."

The attempted visit is the latest chapter in a painful saga for Harper, who has reportedly been desperate to keep the family together throughout the entire ordeal. Back on Valentine's Day, she posted a throwback photo of herself with all three of her brothers, writing: "I love you all so much words can't describe it" — tagging Brooklyn directly. He had, however, already blocked her on Instagram and would not have seen the post.

Brooklyn's Bombshell — and What Sparked It All

The estrangement became impossible to ignore earlier this year when Brooklyn posted a lengthy statement on Instagram, formally cutting ties with his entire family.

"I do not want to reconcile with my family. I'm not being controlled, I'm standing up for myself for the first time in my life," he wrote.

In the post, Brooklyn accused his parents of "endlessly" trying to sabotage his marriage to Nicola and years of controlling behaviour. He also claimed Victoria had agreed to design Nicola's wedding dress before pulling out at the last minute, and alleged that his mother had danced inappropriately with him at his own wedding. Neither David nor Victoria has publicly responded to the specific allegations.

The rift had been rumbling for some time before that — it first became public when Brooklyn skipped David's 50th birthday party. Since then, he has blocked David, Victoria, Romeo and Cruz on social media.

David Keeps His Counsel on the Biggest Day of His Career

Brooklyn's absence from the Walk of Fame ceremony was conspicuous, not least because he lives just minutes from where the star was unveiled. Tom Cruise was among those who turned out to support David, and Victoria delivered an emotional speech — but there was no sign of the couple's eldest son.

When a reporter from Variety put the family feud to David directly before the ceremony, the former England captain shut it down firmly but gracefully.

"To be honest, I'm sorry to stop you there, but that's a private matter. That's the one thing that I don't want to talk about,".

He went on to add, that over 26 years of marriage, he and Victoria had raised "four incredible kids."

Harper and Brooklyn were once extremely close, and she previously had a warm bond with Nicola too — the pair reportedly called each other sisters before the rift took hold. That Harper made the journey to Brooklyn's gate alone, on what was meant to be a celebratory family day, says everything about just how much she wants her brother back — and how painfully out of reach he currently feels.
