Jemima Goldsmith has married Irish-Australian financier Cameron O'Reilly in a traditional church ceremony, sharing the first photographs from the occasion on her personal Instagram account — and the bridal look alone is worth every second of the wait.
The Dress That Stopped the Internet
The 52-year-old screenwriter, producer and society figure wore a sheer, princess-length Oscar de la Renta gown — a bespoke version drawn from the label's spring/summer 2024 bridal collection. The design featured a strapless bodice, a structured silhouette and a full skirt with a crystal-embellished mini veil completing the look. A cream sash worn during the church ceremony was swapped to a black one for the reception, held in a marquee, before Goldsmith changed into an ivory minidress with an oversized pleated corsage at the shoulder for the celebrations proper.
Styling duties fell to a formidable trio: stylist Martha Ward, former sister-in-law Kate Rothschild, and writer Annabel Rivkin — whom Goldsmith warmly credited on Instagram as her 'peerless A-team'.
"Thank you to everyone who made this day so very special and happy for both of us," Goldsmith wrote, offering heartfelt thanks to her bridesmaids, sons, best men, florist, caterers and hair and makeup team.
A Family Affair
The couple's blended family was at the very heart of the day. Goldsmith's sons, Sulaiman, 29, and Kasim, 27 — whom she shares with her former husband, Pakistani cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan — walked her down the aisle. Her stepdaughter Tyrian Khan-White served as maid of honour, while O'Reilly's daughters acted as bridesmaids and his sons, Elliot and Oscar, stood as best men.
O'Reilly, 62, is the son of the late Sir Anthony O'Reilly, the former Irish international rugby player turned media mogul. The Oxford-educated entrepreneur built his career in his father's newspaper businesses before moving into private equity, most notably heading up Swiss metering company Landis+Gyr, which was acquired by Toshiba in a $2.3 billion deal in 2011.
The couple are understood to have met through their shared work in film and documentaries, and to have been together for around a year and a half before news of their engagement first surfaced in May.
Celebrity chef Nigella Lawson, among the famous faces in attendance, left a warm comment on Goldsmith's Instagram post: 'The best day; the best weekend. All love to you both.'
Glowing From the Inside Out
Goldsmith's makeup was the work of Sarah Jane Wai O'Flynn, who told HELLO! that she wanted to honour the bride's signature look — a defined, smoky eye. She used Charlotte Tilbury's Barbarella Brown Rock n Kohl pencil, the Exagger-Eyes Eyeshadow Quad and Dior Beauty Rosy Glow sticks in Rosewood and Toffee to add warmth and colour. Hair, worn loose in soft waves, was styled by Raphael Salley.
"Such a joy to do makeup for the inimitable, witty, kind and beautiful Jemima on her wedding day. It's been truly heartwarming to be part of such a special celebration," said the makeup artist.
Joy Amid Difficult Circumstances
The wedding arrives at a deeply bittersweet moment for the Goldsmith-Khan family. Imran Khan has been held in a Pakistani jail since 2023, sentenced to three years on corruption charges that he vehemently denies. Goldsmith and her sons have campaigned tirelessly for his release. There is further grief, too: Goldsmith's mother, Lady Annabel Goldsmith, for whom the Mayfair private members' club Annabel's was named, died last October at the age of 91.
That the day was filled with joy regardless speaks volumes. Goldsmith, née Goldsmith, is the daughter of the late James and Annabel Goldsmith, and sister of Ben and Zac Goldsmith. She first married Imran Khan in 1995 at the age of 21, having converted to Islam for the union; the couple divorced in 2004 on friendly terms. This second chapter, walked down the aisle by her beloved sons, looks every bit as full of promise.
