Brad Pitt may have been rocking out in Paris, but back home, a far more painful tune was playing. The Hollywood A-lister put on a dazzling display of normality with girlfriend Ines de Ramon on Friday night — just one day after his son Maddox, 24, filed legal papers to drop his father's last name for good.

A Night Out, A World Away

Pitt, 62, looked every inch the carefree rock fan as he and jewellery designer de Ramon, 33, enjoyed the Red Hot Chili Peppers in the French capital. Dressed in a bright blue button-down shirt, purple slacks, matching blue socks and purple shoes, Pitt was all grins — the pair even caught holding hands strolling through the Parisian streets. De Ramon kept things chic in brown trousers and a white long-sleeve top, accessorised with tan shoes and a matching bag.

Maddox Makes It Official

The evening out came just hours after bombshell court documents — first reported by the Daily Mail and obtained by Page Six — revealed that Maddox had filed to legally remove "Pitt" from his name. If granted, the 24-year-old will no longer be Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt, but simply Maddox Chivan Jolie. His stated reason in the filing? Just one word: "personal." Maddox had already been operating under the Jolie name informally, having been credited as Maddox Jolie while working as an assistant director on his mother Angelina's film Couture earlier this year.

Not the First — And Brad Is 'Devastated'

Maddox isn't the first of Pitt and Jolie's six children to make this move. Daughter Shiloh, now 20, filed to drop Pitt after turning 18 in 2024, with her request being granted just three months later. Sources close to the Bullet Train star told Us Weekly at the time that the decision left Pitt "devastated," with an insider saying it was "a symbol of a deeper estrangement that has been brewing for years." A separate source claimed Pitt was "finding it extremely difficult to come to terms with" the change — yet was "not ready to give up" on any of his children, including Pax, 22, Zahara, 21, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 17.

"It was a symbol of a deeper estrangement that has been brewing for years."

Where Things Stand

Pitt and Jolie first got together in 2005, marrying in 2014 before separating in 2016 and becoming officially single in 2019. Their notoriously turbulent divorce was only fully settled in December 2024. Pitt has been with de Ramon since 2022, with insiders previously telling Page Six the relationship is "serious." As for marriage? One source says Pitt "said he won't marry again" — though added: "never say never."
