Simone Biles has had quite the week for revelations. The Olympic gymnast, 29, has opened up about a frightening home invasion in Chicago, put her Texas property on the market for £1.2 million, and turned heads at a glittering Audemars Piguet event alongside fellow sporting legend Serena Williams. If she didn't already have enough material for a reality show, she certainly does now.
The Break-In She Couldn't Stay Silent About
In a candid TikTok posted on Monday, 21 September, Biles revealed that three masked men had broken into her Chicago home and stolen her Porsche GTS. Shared while she was doing her makeup and preparing to go car shopping, the video had all the hallmarks of a Biles social media moment — disarmingly casual delivery wrapped around genuinely alarming content.
"I feel like I need a new car because during our last few months in Chicago, three men in masks came to our house and stole my Porsche. Stole the GTS," Biles said in the TikTok, before adding that the full story was "a story for another time."
The good news: the car was recovered. The bad news: Biles is getting a new one anyway — and frankly, who could blame her? She captioned the post with characteristic breezy resilience: "yes we recovered the car, onto the next."
Biles credited the incident as part of the reason she and her husband, Indianapolis Colts safety Jonathan Owens, acquired a Doberman. "That is one of the reasons why we also got our Doberman," she said. The break-in wasn't the couple's only unsettling encounter this year, either. Back in February, during a trip to Milan for the 2026 Winter Olympics, Owens shared on X that someone had attempted to snatch his shopping bag from his hand in the street. "Not somebody just tried to snatch my shopping bag in Milan," wrote Owens, 30, on 15 February. "Force of habit I had it tied around my hand so he couldn't get it and took off running immediately….but still crazy."
"The things that happen to me are absolutely insanity," Biles said of her run of wild experiences, only half-joking that her life would make for effortless reality television. "It'd be really easy for producers to just film regularly."
Saying Goodbye to the Temporary Texas Base
In a separate development this week, it emerged that Biles and Owens have listed their Spring, Texas home for $1.2 million. The four-bedroom, 3,998 square-foot property served as the couple's base while their custom-built dream mansion — a sprawling waterfront residence — was under construction between 2022 and late 2025.
The contemporary home, built in 2019, features 3.5 bathrooms, a three-car garage, a media room, a private study, a wine wall with its own fridge, and a kitchen with a waterfall island and quartz countertops. The listing, held by Melissa Franklin of RE/MAX, describes the property as "pure perfection" and "built for entertainment." One particularly Biles-friendly touch: a dedicated mudroom with a pet-washing and feeding station.
The couple officially settled into their new custom mansion in February, after wrapping up their Chicago chapter at the end of Owens' season with the Bears. Now that Owens has signed a one-year deal with the Indianapolis Colts, Biles has confirmed plans to join him there later in the season — while keeping their Texas mansion as home base.
"I'm just excited to watch my husband. It doesn't matter, as long as he's safe and healthy and he's having fun, then I don't care," Biles told People on 8 September.
A Star-Studded Night Out With Serena
Amid all the drama, Biles still found time to deliver a fashion moment. She attended an Audemars Piguet event and shared a series of Instagram snaps from the evening, wearing a deep purple and pink dress with an asymmetrical, wavy hemline, paired with pink pointed-toe pumps and — naturally — an AP watch. The final slide of her post offered a welcome surprise: a photo alongside Serena Williams, who looked equally polished in an all-white sleeveless dress with ruching and a tie detail, finished with suede pointed-toe pumps and her own AP watch.
Williams, posting her own tribute to the evening, was effusive. "Yesterday, I sat with the GOAT @simonebiles at AN EVENING OF IMPACTFUL CONVERSATION with @audemarspiguet @vanityfair @femalequotient and a house full of women," she wrote. "I love to see it." The two have now attended at least two Audemars Piguet events together, having previously both opted for little black dresses at a December 2024 gathering. When these two show up to the same room, it seems, the fashion does the talking.
