Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff have reportedly gone their separate ways after nearly three years of marriage, with sources close to the couple suggesting the split has been some time in the making.
People magazine was first to report the separation on 8th July, citing two sources who confirmed the news. One described the couple's relationship as "rocky", while another said they are currently "figuring things out" — language that leaves the door open but signals that something has shifted significantly between the pair.
"I am so happy that I found my person. And it's real. It's amazing. It's the best feeling in the world. I'm so excited and so at ease all at once."
Those words, spoken by Qualley to Harper's Bazaar in September 2023, make the reported split all the more striking. At the time, the actress — known for her roles in Sanctuary and The Substance — seemed entirely at ease about where her life was headed.
The Wedding That Raised Eyebrows
The separation came to public attention in a rather telling way. Antonoff attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding at Madison Square Garden on 3rd July without Qualley by his side, instead bringing his sister Rachel Antonoff as his plus-one. Qualley's absence was initially attributed to filming commitments on her forthcoming project King Snake, but a DeuxMoi report — cited by AOL — claimed she was spotted at a restaurant in Kingston, New York, that same evening.

It's the kind of detail that, in retrospect, many will read as confirmation that things between the pair were already strained.
A Romance That Moved Quickly
Qualley and Antonoff's relationship moved at pace from the very beginning. First spotted sharing a kiss in Brooklyn in August 2021, they went public in early 2022 at an AFI Awards Luncheon — an event celebrating Qualley's Netflix series Maid. By May of that year, they were engaged, with Qualley marking the occasion on Instagram with selfies and the caption: "Oh, I love him!" — a post that has since been deleted.
The couple married in 2023 in Long Beach Island, New Jersey.
Signs Things Were Changing
In hindsight, there were subtle signals that something had shifted in the months before the split was confirmed. In April, Qualley updated her Instagram handle — which had previously referenced Antonoff's song "Isimo" — to the more neutral @margaretqualley23, a change noted by Page Six at the time.

Small moves, perhaps, but in the world of celebrity relationships, they rarely go unnoticed for long. Neither Qualley nor Antonoff has publicly commented on the reports.
