A Stylish Sidestep Around Mum's Rules
Victoria Beckham has made no secret of the fact that her Hermès collection is firmly off-limits to her daughter — but it seems Harper may have found her own way in. The 13-year-old was spotted disembarking a yacht in St. Tropez this week looking every inch the fashion insider, wearing a white vest top, a boho-style skirt, and a pair of the coveted Hermès Oran sandals — the flat, H-strap slip-ons that have become one of the most recognisable shoes in luxury fashion. At £640 a pair, they're hardly pocket money, but for the Beckhams, they're practically a family staple.

Harper was pictured stepping off the boat alongside her brother Romeo and his girlfriend Kim Turnbull, with the trio heading out to browse the Bottega Veneta store in the glamorous French Riviera town. It's the kind of low-key summer outing that only looks effortless when you're a Beckham.
"I'm not too precious about [my wardrobe] unless it's Hermès. When Harper eyes up those handbags [I say]: 'Not just yet.'" — Victoria Beckham, speaking to Vogue
Victoria's £1 Million Hermès Habit
The sandals carry particular significance given what Victoria has previously said about the French luxury house. While she was specifically referring to her legendary handbag collection — which The Guardian reported in 2024 includes around 100 Hermès pieces estimated to be worth over £1 million — her protectiveness over the brand is well-documented. Victoria has been spotted in the very same Oran sandals herself, opting for the tan colourway, so it's entirely possible Harper's pair is a fresh purchase rather than a raid on mum's wardrobe. The mother-daughter duo has previously been known to wear matching items, keeping fans guessing either way.
Victoria's relationship with Hermès dates back to 2004, when she bought her first Birkin in classic tan. Since then, her collection has expanded to include versions in hot pink, lime green, black, red, orange calfskin, limited-edition purple ostrich, and burgundy crocodile, along with a number of Kelly bags in black and purple. It is, by any measure, a serious commitment to one brand — and one Harper is clearly beginning to share, handbags or not.
A Family Summer, Mostly Together
The St. Tropez trip comes as the wider Beckham family continues to navigate a well-publicised period of internal tension. Brooklyn's estrangement from his parents has been the subject of considerable public scrutiny, and his absence from the summer holiday is notable. Meanwhile, Cruz is occupied with musical commitments alongside his band, The Breakers. It's Romeo and Harper who have joined David and Victoria for this particular European escape — and judging by Harper's sun-soaked, impeccably shod appearance dockside, she's making the most of it.

Whether the Oran sandals were a gift from Victoria or a purchase in their own right, one thing is clear: Harper's eye for the label is every bit as sharp as her mother's. Victoria may have said 'not just yet' to the handbags — but on the shoes front, it appears the answer is very much 'right now'.
