The Model Who Makes Suiting Look Like an Art Form
Irina Shayk has never been one to play it safe, and her latest campaign work proves the point spectacularly. The supermodel has fronted Italian fashion brand Marella's Fall 2026 collection in a series of striking images shot by photographer Mark Kean — and she has managed to make a tailored suit feel simultaneously powerful and provocative.
In the campaign's most talked-about shot, Shayk wears a sophisticated warm brown single-breasted blazer with structured shoulders and sharp tailored lapels, paired with matching high-waisted flared trousers. The twist? She goes completely topless underneath, leaving the jacket casually unbuttoned to reveal her bare chest and toned torso. It is, by any measure, a masterclass in confident dressing.
Brown Suit, No Shirt, Maximum Impact
The styling, led by Alexandra Carl, is precise and considered. Shayk completed the monochrome look with dark olive-brown leather gloves tucked neatly under her jacket sleeves, a matching brown fabric scarf tied at the neck for a polished collar effect, and cream-coloured pointed-toe pumps that offered a crisp contrast beneath the wide-leg trousers. Large sculpted gold flower earrings added a final hit of glamour under the soft studio lighting.
Her beauty look leaned into cool minimalism — slicked-back bun, natural nude lips, soft bronzer, and defined brows — keeping the focus firmly on the suiting and the sheer confidence of the pose. One gloved hand in her pocket, gaze fixed directly into the camera, expression fierce and unflinching. It is the kind of image that stops a scroll dead in its tracks.
She confidently proved that a tailored suit needs nothing underneath to make a powerful, high-fashion statement on the global fashion stage.
A Second Look That's Just as Bold
The topless blazer shot is not the only image turning heads from the Marella campaign. A second look sees Shayk ditch the trousers entirely in favour of an ultra-high-cut black bodysuit beneath Marella's structured "Hero Blazer". The bodysuit's thong-style back adds a deliberately provocative edge to the sharp tailoring, while sheer dark tights elongate her silhouette further. A long skinny black scarf, floating dramatically mid-air, and the same cream pointed-toe pumps from the brown suit look complete the ensemble.

In one playful frame from the shoot, Shayk balances on one leg and reaches back to hold her own heel — athletic and elegant at once, with the scarf catching the air around her. In another, she turns her back to the camera and glances over her shoulder, the blazer draped casually over her arms. It is the sort of effortless cool that takes considerable effort to achieve.
Booked, Busy, and Clearly in Her Element
The campaign comes as Shayk continues to jet-set at pace. When she is not in front of a lens for a major brand, she has been making the most of the European summer — most recently sharing a social media carousel from France that showed her paddleboarding and dancing in an orange bikini, captioned simply: "A bit of French summer." Fans were characteristically enthusiastic in the comments.
"The hottest and coolest," wrote one follower, while another added simply: "Always been that girl."
Shayk, who has previously spoken to Vogue about maintaining a workout routine — including boxing, Barre, and Pilates — even while living out of hotel rooms between shoots, shows no signs of slowing down. If the Marella campaign is anything to go by, she is very much at the top of her game.
