La Dolce Sweeney
Sydney Sweeney has well and truly arrived in Venice — and she's brought the outfits to prove it. The Euphoria actress, 28, is in the Italian city in her role as an ambassador for Armani Beauty, and she's wasted no time making the trip look like a very personal fashion week.
Fresh off the plane, Sweeney was photographed leaving the airport and catching a gondola ride into the city wearing a vintage cropped ruffle top pulled from Georges Chakra's Spring/Summer 2003 couture collection. The piece — crafted from floral see-through Chantilly lace with a criss-cross halter neckline and a loose, asymmetrical shape — was finished with cascading lace frills and layered over a skintight peach tank for a touch of coverage.
The result was a barely-there moment that somehow felt entirely effortless — which, for Sweeney, seems to be the whole point.
Head-to-Toe Vintage Glamour
She paired the top with its runway counterpart: sand-coloured silk taffeta Bermuda shorts designed with a low-rise silhouette and knee-length leg, secured with a matching silk scarf tied around the waistband.

Nude pumps with a high heel and a clear strap played into the transparent theme, while a gold satin mini Fendi Baguette, slim rounded sunglasses, diamond stud earrings, and a delicate gold watch completed the look. Her long blonde hair was pulled into a half-up, half-down bun, nails painted a shiny white.
The flowy piece, pulled from Georges Chakra's Spring/Summer 2003 couture collection, was finished with cascading lace frills — a vintage archive find that felt entirely of-the-moment on the streets of Venice.
It's the kind of airport dressing that makes the rest of us feel deeply inadequate for ever leaving the house in trainers.
A Night at Harry's Bar in Chanel
The vintage lace moment was just the opening act. Later in the week, Sweeney was spotted walking the streets of San Marco and heading to the legendary Harry's Bar in a full Chanel look — a strapless dress that, by all accounts, was being held up by little more than confidence and good fortune.

Venice Film Festival, unlike Cannes with its famously strict red carpet dress code, allows guests full creative freedom — and Sweeney is clearly treating that latitude as both an invitation and a personal challenge.
Birthday Boobs and a New Romance
Sweeney's Venice appearances come at a particularly busy moment. The actress, who turns 29 on 12 September, has been actively promoting her lingerie brand Syrn's Birthday Boobs collection launch, sharing a series of eye-catching images on Instagram ahead of the drop.
"Birthday Boobs drops in less than 24 hours," she captioned one particularly attention-grabbing post, in which she pulled down her skirt to reveal a bejewelled pink thong.
It follows an earlier campaign video in which she baked a cake in pink lingerie — a piece of branded content that managed to go thoroughly viral, presumably because no one was watching for the recipe.

Off-screen, Sweeney has also confirmed a new relationship with Scooter Braun. The couple went Instagram official in April, with Braun publicly declaring himself a 'lucky b******' — a sentiment her Venice press tour is doing absolutely nothing to contradict.
With the festival running until 12 September — closing with Italian costume drama Dio Ride (God Laughs), written and directed by Giovanni Veronesi — there's every chance Sweeney has a few more looks left to unveil before she's done.
