Speaking to People magazine, the source outlined where Kate and Prince William's focus truly lies in the wake of an extraordinarily turbulent few years: their royal duties, Kate's ongoing recovery following her cancer diagnosis in 2024, and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
"They have suffered a lot. They have been dutiful, doing what they do well, and keeping the family together. Anything else, from their point of view, isn't critical."
It is a quietly devastating reordering of priorities. In January 2025, the Princess of Wales announced that her cancer was in remission — a moment of profound relief after months of treatment and public concern. That experience, sources suggest, has concentrated minds considerably at Kensington Palace.
'Cannot Forgive' — but Committed to Moving Forward
