Not Everyone Was a Fan
One diner's folded arms and withering stare said it all. When Bianca Censori walked through a restaurant in Basel, Switzerland, wearing a sheer nude bodysuit and a sparkly thong leotard — bra-free, bum fully on display — the locals were not exactly rolling out the welcome mat. One man seated at an outdoor table fixed her with a stern look as other diners glanced away, seemingly unsure where to direct their eyes at all.
Not that it troubled Bianca in the slightest. The 31-year-old Australian model and architect strolled through the establishment hand-in-hand with husband Kanye West, 49, her new blonde hair swept into a messy updo, silver stilettos adding to her already considerable height, with a security guard trailing close behind. Kanye, as is his custom, balanced out the spectacle in his own low-key way — baggy trousers, a white T-shirt and chunky boots.
Art Basel and a Film Debut
The couple's presence in Switzerland isn't purely social. Bianca is set to feature as the lead actress in a new film installation by artist Vanessa Beecroft, a frequent Yeezy collaborator, premiering at Art Basel — one of the world's most prestigious international art fairs. The couple arrived in Basel on Monday 15th June, staying at a five-star hotel while attending the exclusive invitation-only preview for the annual event.

It's a significant moment for Bianca, who joined Kanye's Yeezy brand as Head of Architecture back in 2020 before the pair wed in a private ceremony in December 2022. Her presence at Art Basel marks a step into the spotlight on her own artistic terms — though her wardrobe has, once again, dominated the conversation ahead of the work itself.

The Basel stop is the latest chapter in a sprawling European tour. Kanye recently performed to a sold-out crowd of 70,000 in Georgia and played to over 118,000 fans at Istanbul's Atatürk Olympic Stadium — his first European shows in over a decade. Thousands who couldn't secure tickets gathered in the streets outside the Istanbul venue, while fans flew in from across the continent. Despite a string of cancellations in England, France, Poland and Italy — the latter axed over safety concerns and fears of counter-demonstrations linked to his past antisemitic remarks — Kanye is still scheduled to perform in Albania, Madrid and Portugal this summer, as well as two shows in Tampa, Florida later this month.
Her Style, Her Rules
Bianca's barely-there ensembles have sparked fierce online debate ever since she and Kanye went public, with many fans expressing concern that her husband exerts control over what she wears. Those fears intensified after Kanye himself posted on social media that he has 'dominion' over her following their notorious Grammys red carpet appearance last year, at which Bianca appeared fully naked.

But Bianca has pushed back firmly. In her first major interview, she addressed the speculation head-on, telling Vanity Fair in February that the fashion choices are entirely mutual.
'Me and my husband would work on my outfits together. So it was like a collaboration; it was never "I was being told to do something."'
She also described herself as someone who has long had 'an obvious obsession with nudity' and insists she 'lives her artwork' — a sentiment that feels particularly apt given her Art Basel debut. Whether the public grasps her intentions, she's made clear, is not her primary concern — self-expression is.

Her devotion to Kanye also shows no signs of dimming. On his 49th birthday on 8th June, Bianca took to Instagram with a series of personal snaps, declaring him her 'ride or die 4ever' and writing: 'Happy birthday @ye. I love you more than anything.'

What Comes Next
After Art Basel wraps, the couple are expected to head back to the United States before Kanye's return leg of European dates. Whether Bianca has any further artistic surprises lined up alongside the Beecroft film installation remains to be seen — but if Basel is anything to go by, she'll be making an entrance either way.
