David and Victoria Beckham made their feelings plain on Father's Day — and they did it very publicly. Both shared Instagram posts that deliberately included their estranged eldest son Brooklyn, despite the bitter family rift that has dominated headlines for much of this year. The estrangement between Brooklyn and his parents has been simmering since his 2022 wedding to American heiress Nicola Peltz, which Brooklyn later alleged had been "hijacked" by his mother. Tensions have escalated sharply in 2026, with Brooklyn releasing a public statement earlier this year declaring he had been "silent for years" while his parents and their team "continued to go to the press."

In that statement — which marked a significant escalation in the very public falling-out — Brooklyn went further still, saying he had no desire to reconcile and accusing his parents of prioritising "Brand Beckham" over genuine family relationships. Brooklyn was reportedly paid at least $1 million (£753,000) for the campaign, and sources close to David and Victoria are said to have been left stung by the perceived dig, according to Page Six.

Meanwhile, Nicola Peltz kept things notably warm on her own social media, sharing a gushing Father's Day tribute to her billionaire father Nelson Peltz, calling him "the best dad in the entire world" and thanking him for "always believing" in her. Her husband's Instagram, by contrast, remained completely quiet.

Romeo, 23, and Cruz, 21, both posted Father's Day messages to David — Romeo sharing childhood throwbacks, Cruz posting a fishing photo — which made Brooklyn's absence from the family's social media landscape all the more conspicuous. He has made no public appearances with his parents and offered no acknowledgement of them online since his statement earlier this year.

Whether David and Victoria's decision to include Brooklyn so visibly in their Father's Day posts marks a genuine attempt at reconciliation or a strategic piece of image management is, as Brooklyn himself might put it, a long story.
