If you were a fan of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, prepare to have your mind completely blown. Charisma Carpenter — the woman who played queen bee Cordelia Chase — has just reminded the entire internet why she was the most glamorous person in Sunnydale.
The Photos Nobody Was Prepared For
The 55-year-old took to Instagram this week and casually dropped a sun-soaked photo series that sent her followers into a frenzy. Dressed in a plunging red bikini, oversized sunglasses and a straw hat, she looked every inch the Hollywood star she has always been.
Her caption? A breezy "Could get used to this." Same, Charisma. Honestly, same.
"For the record, this is the greatest photo series in the history of mankind."— a fan in the comments, and honestly, who could argue?

From Sunnydale To Sunshine — What Charisma's Been Up To
It has been 27 years since Carpenter first strutted into our lives as Cordelia, Buffy's sharp-tongued best friend who somehow became everyone's favourite character. After Buffy wrapped in 2003, she carried the role into spin-off series Angel before moving on to guest spots in Veronica Mars and Charmed.
Born in Las Vegas, she actually started out as a showgirl before Hollywood came calling in 1994. The woman has always known how to command a room — or, in this case, a beach.
The Fans Are Absolutely Beside Themselves
The comments section quickly became a love-in of epic proportions. "So beautiful as always," wrote one follower. "Shining beautifully and brighter than the sun," swooned another. A third simply called her "a total smoke show" — and nobody disagreed.
One particularly devoted fan referred to her as "Queen C" — a nod to Cordelia's iconic nickname — proving that some titles are simply forever.

Life Beyond The Hellmouth
These days Charisma is a proud single mum to her 20-year-old son Donovan, whom she shares with former husband Damian Hardy. She's clearly thriving — and these photos are the proof.
At 55, Charisma Carpenter isn't just ageing gracefully. She's doing it on her own terms, in a red bikini, in the sunshine. And frankly, we're all better for witnessing it.
