Jennifer Lopez is leaning fully into Leo season — and making sure everyone knows it. The 57-year-old singer and actress shared a carousel of photographs to Instagram on Monday that sent her followers into a collective swoon, posing in silky white lingerie, polka-dot heels and a white lace headscarf in a look that drew clear inspiration from 1950s pin-up glamour.
Photographed by Charlie Chiu, Lopez stood confidently in front of a clothing rack, wearing a push-up bra and matching underwear accessorised with black sunglasses and a white square purse. Fellow celebrities including Jessica Alba and Jenna Dewan were among those who left praise in the comments section.
Her followers were rather more blunt about it. "That body goals!!!" wrote one. "The perfection is nearly unbearable," added another. A third declared: "Wow Jennifer Lopez you have the body of a goddess and you truly have incredible perfect legs."
'Just talking yourself off the ledge of being a lazy bum'
For anyone wondering how Lopez maintains her famously sculpted figure at 57, she's been refreshingly candid about the discipline behind it. Speaking to Us Weekly, she explained that skipping her workout simply isn't an option she entertains for long.
"Very rarely will I skip my workout. Sometimes, I work too late the night before, and I'm like, 'Ugh, I can't do this.' But I tell myself, 'Just do it. It's only an hour.' It's just talking yourself off the ledge of being a lazy bum."
She added that she sees a direct link between physical exercise and her mental wellbeing: "I think there's a positive correlation between exercise and mental health. When you find a good balance through determination and focus, we're naturally pushing to be the best version of ourselves."

An emotional summer ahead
The confidence on display in those photographs belies what Lopez has described as an unexpectedly emotional period in her personal life. Her twins, Max and Oskar — previously known as Emme — are heading off to college in the autumn, and the prospect has hit her harder than she anticipated.
Appearing on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Lopez reflected on the reality of becoming an empty nester: "It's an emotional time. It's been the three of us. People have come in and out of my life, but it's been the three of us. They've always been there, and I've always been there."
She admitted that it wasn't until a couple of months ago, when she sat down to write contributions for her children's end-of-year school programme, that the full weight of the moment landed. She told Jimmy Kimmel Live! in May that the yearbook messages took her two full days to write — largely because she couldn't get through them without crying.
"All year people asked me, 'They're going away to college, it's going to be terrible.' No, it's going to be great. I want them to go out there. I want them to do what they want to do. They have big dreams."

In rather lighter Lopez-related news this week, former Real Housewives of New York City star Luann de Lesseps found herself issuing a public apology to J.Lo after a lyrical mishap on the Bravo spin-off The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip. During a confessional segment, Luann referenced Lopez by saying she was "from the 'hood" — earning an immediate correction from a producer, who pointed out the song is actually called "Jenny From the Block."
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Luann blamed a prolonged stint living in Europe for the slip. "Of course I know 'Jenny From the Block,' but I forgot. So I said 'the 'hood.' I'm a little embarrassed. I hope J.Lo is not upset with me, because I love her."
Released in 2002, "Jenny From the Block" peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 and remains one of Lopez's most iconic tracks — so perhaps a quick revision session before the next filming day wouldn't go amiss.
