Julianne Moore has never been shy about celebrating the people she loves — and this week, the Oscar-winning actress had very good reason to shout from the rooftops. Her son Caleb Freundlich has married his longtime girlfriend Kibriyaá Morgan, and Moore wasted absolutely no time sharing the news with the world.

A Dance Down the Aisle

Moore announced the wedding on Instagram on Monday, 12th October, with a message as warm and effusive as you'd expect from a proud mother. Alongside a video of the newlyweds, she wrote simply: 'This happened!!! We love love love you.'

The clip captured Caleb, 28, and Kibriyaá dancing jubilantly down the aisle moments after being declared husband and wife, their guests cheering and tossing rose petals as the couple moved together in sheer delight. Caleb then dipped his new bride and sealed the moment with a kiss — the kind of image that was always going to break the internet, and duly did.

Seven Years in the Making

For those keeping track, Caleb and Kibriyaá's love story has been a long and happy one. The couple dated for seven years before Caleb proposed in August 2024, making the walk down the aisle a moment that has been well and truly earned. Kibriyaá works as a senior content coordinator at media company Morning Brew, while Caleb has carved out his own creative path as a musician, releasing music under the name Caleb Moore.

Julianne shares Caleb with her husband, director Bart Freundlich. The couple are also parents to 24-year-old daughter Liv, meaning the family now has a brand new member to welcome into the fold.

Moore Herself Is Having a Remarkable Autumn

The family celebration comes at a particularly buoyant moment for Moore professionally, too. Her new film The Debut, written and directed by Jesse Eisenberg, is generating serious awards-season buzz after screening at the New York Film Festival, ahead of a theatrical release on 11th December. Moore plays Mona Friedman, a mousy housewife in her late fifties who auditions for a role in a New Jersey community theatre production — and in doing so, begins a quietly transformative journey of self-discovery. It is, by all accounts, another masterclass from one of Hollywood's most consistently compelling performers.

Co-starring Paul Giamatti and Halle Bailey, The Debut is being described as Eisenberg's third — and best — feature to date, with early critics singling out Moore's performance as among the finest of her already extraordinary career.

A Week to Remember

Between a son's wedding and an awards-season frontrunner heading to cinemas, it is safe to say October 2026 is shaping up to be a rather spectacular month in the Moore-Freundlich household. If Moore's Instagram post is anything to go by, she is revelling in every second of it — and frankly, who could blame her.

Congratulations to Caleb and Kibriyaá on their marriage.
