Sixteen years is a long time to wait for a camp reunion — but judging by the red carpet at Monday night's Los Angeles premiere of Camp Rock 3, it was worth every minute.
Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers stepped out together at the film's premiere on 10th August, marking the first time the original cast had appeared publicly together since Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam wrapped in 2010. Lovato, 33, turned heads in a bronze lace-up vintage Dolce & Gabbana dress, while the three brothers all opted for tailored Giorgio Armani — Kevin, 38, in a grey suit with a white T-shirt; Joe, 36, in a pink sweater vest and black trousers; and Nick, 33, in a blue-grey suit with an off-white collared shirt.
Mitchie Torres Is Back
Disney has officially confirmed that Lovato will reprise her role as Mitchie Torres in the new film — a piece of news that had been kept under wraps despite the singer and actress having been announced as an executive producer on the project earlier.

The cameo creates a full-circle moment for the generation that grew up watching Mitchie navigate friendships, confidence, and life at the music camp in the original 2008 film and its sequel.
Maria Canals-Barrera is also returning as Connie Torres, Mitchie's mother, giving longtime fans two familiar faces to look forward to alongside the franchise's fresh cast.
Lovato recently shared an Instagram clip from a visit to Disneyland with the new cast members, dancing to Meaghan Martin's throwback hit "Too Cool" and captioning it: "Normalize making music videos with your friends."

Connect 3 Returns — With a New Mission
The Jonas Brothers are back as Connect 3, the fictional band at the heart of the franchise, in a story set years after the events of Camp Rock 2. This time round, the group is preparing for a reunion tour and heads back to Camp Rock to find a new opening act — setting the stage for a new generation of young performers to take the spotlight.

Leading that new cast are Liamani Segura as Sage, described as "bold and determined," and Malachi Barton as camp bad boy Fletch. The ensemble also includes Lumi Pollack, Sherry Cola, Hudson Stone, Casey Trotter, Brooklyn Pitts, and Ava Jean.
Nostalgia With a Fresh Chapter
Disney has framed Camp Rock 3 as a chance to introduce the beloved franchise to a younger audience while giving original fans something to hold onto. With Lovato and the Jonas Brothers serving as executive producers as well as appearing on screen, the project carries a clear sense of ownership from those who built the franchise in the first place.
"Normalize making music videos with your friends." — Demi Lovato, captioning an Instagram clip of herself dancing with the new cast at Disneyland ahead of the premiere.
For fans of the entertainment industry's nostalgia revival, this one lands with some weight. Whether you were ten years old watching the original on Disney Channel or simply a devoted follower of the franchise's music, Camp Rock 3 is shaping up to be one of the more genuinely felt reunion projects in recent memory — not just a cash-in, but a handover.
Camp Rock 3 premieres on Disney Channel on 13th August, with streaming on Disney+ beginning 14th August.
