They exchanged vows in a quietly romantic London ceremony, but Dua Lipa and Callum Turner are making absolutely sure the world knows they're married now. The couple are mid-way through a spectacular three-day wedding celebration in Palermo, Sicily — and the guest list alone is enough to make your jaw drop.

The pair officially tied the knot on 31st May at London's Old Marylebone Town Hall, but the real festivities kicked off in the Sicilian capital this weekend, with the Italian press breathlessly billing it as the wedding of the year. And looking at the names on the guest list, it's hard to argue.
Among those who touched down in Palermo were DJ and producer Mark Ronson and his wife, the US actress Grace Gummer, along with fellow British pop star Charli XCX — who herself got married in Sicily last September — and singer-songwriter Troye Sivan. The couple arrived in Palermo by private jet on Thursday evening, and an entire floor of suites at Villa Igiea — a stunning five-star art nouveau hotel — has been booked out to accommodate an expected 200 guests.
Fans who gathered outside caught their first glimpse of the newlyweds as they arrived at the venue, with Dua stunning in a white bridal gown and Callum looking dapper in a beige suit as the couple walked in among their friends.
"I could understand if it was for the pope, but not for a singer," said Clarissa, a bar worker near the celebrations, who despite admiring Dua's music and activism, was frustrated at being forced to park miles away and walk to work for three days running.
Baroque Palaces and Buffets with Elton John
The itinerary for the celebrations is being kept tightly under wraps — everyone involved has signed strict confidentiality agreements — but details have slowly emerged. On Friday evening, the newlyweds were expected to enjoy a private tour of the Galleria d'Arte Moderna di Palermo, a breathtaking collection of more than 200 19th- and 20th-century masterpieces housed in a sublime baroque church. The palace will already be familiar to fans of prestige television — it served as one of the filming locations for Netflix's lavish miniseries Il Gattopardo (The Leopard), an adaptation of Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa's classic novel.
Dua and Callum's love story has been a relatively swift one by celebrity standards. The couple were first spotted together in 2024, got engaged in June 2025 — with Callum reportedly designing the ring himself with help from Dua's sister and close friends — and married just under a year later.

Back in Palermo's historic centre, the mood among locals is decidedly mixed. Road closures, security cordons and the general upheaval of hosting a mega-celebrity event have left some residents feeling as though their city has been temporarily commandeered.
Concetta Chillemi, who runs a shop near the Galleria d'Arte Moderna, admitted she had never heard of Dua Lipa until last summer, when the then-newly engaged couple holidayed in Palermo and shared photos on Instagram — including one taken at aperitivo in a nearby bar. She and fellow shopkeepers duly did their homework. "I got together with some of the other shop owners here and we listened to a few songs," she said with a shrug.
Others, however, are fully embracing the moment. Hotel worker and self-confessed Dua Lipa devotee Concetta Picciuca said she cycles to work anyway, so the road closures haven't bothered her in the slightest. "I'm always listening to her music, it helps me to relax," she said. "There are people who complain, but I think the event is a good thing because it's good for the economy."
