A Bride in Chanel
Dua Lipa has finally given the world a proper look at her wedding — and it was worth every second of the wait. The Grammy-winning singer posted a carousel of photographs on Instagram on 20th June from her lavish three-day celebration in Sicily, accompanied by the simplest of captions: Mr & Mrs.
The images, taken at the historic Villa Valguarnera — an 18th-century mansion near Palermo — showed Lipa and her new husband, British actor Callum Turner, dancing inside the reception venue, sharing a quiet embrace on a stone terrace, and posing amid the sun-soaked Italian countryside. But it was the dress that stopped everyone in their tracks.
Lipa wore a custom Chanel haute couture wedding gown created by the house's newly appointed creative director, Matthieu Blazy. The body-skimming silhouette featured a dramatic open back, a sweeping train trimmed with feathers, and delicate crystal embellishments throughout — an ethereal combination that felt entirely, unmistakably her. A matching feathered headpiece and a long embroidered veil completed the look.
According to Vogue, the gown holds a particular significance beyond its beauty: it marks the first haute couture wedding dress Blazy has created for a friend of the house since taking the creative helm at Chanel. For Lipa, long celebrated as one of fashion's most daring front-row fixtures, it felt like a natural fit.
"You want to be inspired by the person you're with," Turner told The Hollywood Reporter ahead of the wedding, also noting: "We make sure that we're together as much as possible."
Two Ceremonies, Two Looks
The Sicilian festivities were, in fact, the second chapter of the couple's nuptials. Lipa and Turner officially married on 31st May in an intimate civil ceremony at the Old Marylebone Town Hall in London — a quietly elegant affair that she documented on social media a few days later.
For that occasion, she chose a custom Schiaparelli couture skirt suit designed by Daniel Roseberry: a crisp white ensemble with an asymmetrical jacket fastened with personalised gold bijoux buttons, including one crafted in the shape of an eye. A wide-brimmed hat, white gloves, and pointed Christian Louboutin pumps completed the look. It was architectural, witty and deeply fashion-forward — every bit as considered as the Chanel gown that followed.

The welcome party in Sicily brought yet another outfit change: a custom Bottega Veneta dress by Louise Trotter, cut in a halter-neck mermaid silhouette. Three events, three houses, three immaculate looks. Even by Lipa's standards, the bridal wardrobe was a statement.
Friends, Family and a Few Famous Faces
The guest list for the Sicilian leg was, naturally, a talking point in itself. Among those who made the trip to Villa Valguarnera were Charli XCX, Joe Alwyn and Grace Gummer — a gathering that reflected the couple's creative world as much as their personal one.

Turner, best known for his roles in Fantastic Beasts and the recent film Eternity, first appeared alongside Lipa at various events in early 2024, with the pair making their relationship Instagram official that July. For much of their courtship, both kept a conspicuously low profile — a rarity at their level of fame, and arguably the reason public interest in them only grew.
"We make sure that we're together as much as possible," Turner said of navigating their busy schedules — a sentiment that clearly extended to building something permanent together.
Lipa confirmed their engagement during a British Vogue interview in June 2025, months after reports suggested Turner had proposed over the Christmas holidays in 2024. She spoke warmly about the idea of growing old together and remaining best friends through every stage of life — understated words from a woman who, when it came to the wedding itself, had anything but an understated vision.
With the photos now out in the world, the only question left is: which look will the fashion world be talking about longer?
